Celsa is 51 years old and has a son. From a young age, she started helping her mother with the household chores. She also helped his father by bringing him the food to his workplace. Her son, who is 16, is a student. During the weekends he works in agriculture and other activities in order to receive some income for the family. She works in agriculture with the help of her son and day laborers that she hires. With a lot of effort, she has managed to help her only son to get ahead. She has been doing this since she was very young. When she got married, her husband helped her to take care of 7,000 m2 planted with corn. She always hires laborers. Her plantations are located 1 km away from her house.
She will use the loan to buy agricultural supplies such as compost and fertilizer and to pay for the labor needed to prepare the land for the crops. She hopes to improve the plantations in order to have a more abundant harvest. In the future, she wants to see her son get ahead and pay for his studies, including the university if possible. With the loans she has received and with her hard work she will reach this goal. She will invest her profits in her son and to cover the family’s daily expenses.
