Los Luchadores Group's story

Miguel, age 30, is in a common-law marriage. He and his wife have a daughter. He lives in the Nueva Frontera municipality in Santa Bárbara. He has always grown basic grains and coffee. He has spent five years cultivating a coffee farm. This grain is sold in the area where he lives.

He has decided to request a loan for 7,000 lempiras to buy fertilizers and to fertilizer the coffee farm. He will do this in order to get good harvests and to improve his living conditions. This is a group loan.

The group is named Los Luchadores, and it is comprised of 11 people. They have requested a loan for the total of 68,000 lempiras to buy fertilizers and to clear the fields on the coffee farm. All of them are from the same community, and they are farmers.
