Hoeurn's Group's story

Hoeurn is 59 years old and a married mother, blessed with three children. For her family, working for others for a fee and rice growing are the main source of income, and she can get 30,000 KHR per day to cover her daily cost of living. Her prior loan was her original loan with VisionFund (Kiva’s partner). After the successful past loan which she has repaid, she can sustain her living and has made progress.

Now, she is leading a group composed of four women to get a new loan. She and one of her co-borrowers are seeking 1,200,000 KHR each whereas the remaining members are taking 1,000,000 KHR each. Hoeurn will spend her loan portion to buy fertilizer and to pay for plowing fee plus transplanting fee. She hopes to gain a good yield with high profit for her family.
