Celia, age 43, is married to Eusebio and has three children. She lives with them in her own house. Celia is a farmer. She has been engaged in this business activity for 20 years. Her main crops are peas, potatoes, and corn. She sells them for a good price at the wholesale market in her city, where she travels after each harvest.
Thanks to farming, she was able to get the five pieces of crop land that she now has. She also has two bulls, which are of a good breed, and she works the land with them. “I will never stop planting; I will always keep the family ways,” Celia says. In the future she wishes to improve the quality of her food.
This is her fourth loan with Kiva. She is grateful for the financial support she is getting in order to get ahead. She pledges to make her payments punctually. Celia will invest the 3,500 soles in the purchase of organic fertilizer to nourish her crops.
