Maribel, age 25, is single and does not have children. She currently lives in her parents’ house. Maribel has been farming since she was a little girl, but she has been working independently for six years. She feels that it is one of the best business activities that she can do because she has a lot of experience harvesting organic cacao.
Upon starting a new productive season, she hopes to take the maximum advantage that is possible of her fields by hiring day workers in the area to plant the seedling nursery plants and the to clear the weeds. She generally buys sacks of organic fertilizer to fertilize the land where she plants and to get good products.
This is her first loan with Kiva. She is grateful to receive a financial support that allows her to get ahead. She pledges to make her payments punctually.
She is now requesting 3,000 soles to buy organic fertilizer to fertilize her plants.
