A loan helped to purchase local soap for her business.

Alice's story

Alice is 35 years old and lives in Paynesville south, which is one of the populated areas of Montserrado County. Alice is married, and has six children between 4 and 20 years old. Only three of her children are in school and live at home.

Alice describes herself as a hardworking person. For the past 10 years, she has been running a stall where she sells soap in the local market. She likes her business because of the ways customers respond to it, and she started this business with money given to her by her husband. Alice walks every day to buy her goods since her shop is much closer than the local wholesale market. She is requesting a loan to purchase local soap for her business.

Alice plans to buy a piece of land and build a house. She would like to say thanks to the lenders who support BRAC Liberia to enable small business people to increase their business volume.
