Elijah D.'s story

Elijah D. is running a shop which sells rice, cement, and other material in the area of Bardnersville, one of the early communities in Liberia that is well-known. He has been running this business for the past 12 years now. He makes lots of profit and has more customers. His profits are used for rent, school fees, and to increase his saving account. Presently he faces no problem. He started this business with money given to him by his father. He has four children between 21 and 1 year old, only three of whom are in school and they all live at home. He is requesting a loan to purchase more rice, cement and other materials for his business. Elijah is 38 years old, and he is a studying at a university while running his business, he open his shop by 7am and close by 4pm since he has to attends classes three time in a week.
