A loan helped to buy hair treatments, oils, and hair relaxers for her salon.

Resty's story

Resty lives in Uganda Kampala and is married, with five children. All of her children go to school. She also takes care of additional family members.

Resty operates a salon at the market on retail basis. She has been in business for the last 11 years. She works seven days a week. She gets additional income from outside catering.

She has requested from Micro Credit for Development and Transformation SACCO (MCDT SACCO) a loan of UGX 800,000 to buy hair treatments, oils, and relaxers for the salon. Her major challenges are seasonality and transportation. She lives in a rented house and her family has access to piped water and electricity.

Resty's goal and aspiration is to have a fully-stocked salon, providing bridal services. Her major monthly expenses include school fees and food.
