A loan helped to cover the cost of growing vegetables.

Battsetseg's story

Battsetseg, 29 years old, lives with her husband and two children in Ulaanbaatar, the capital city of Mongolia. She has been selling vegetables and fruits to local people at an outdoor market since 2010. Her husband has been transporting goods between cities using his own truck on contract with private business entities. They grow vegetables on their plot of land. However, due to a lack of cash, they can't afford to purchase enough seeds and install an irrigation system. Therefore she is requesting a loan of 5,000,000 MNT to cover the cost associated with growing vegetables such as potatoes, cabbage and carrots. Growing vegetables not only contributes to the family income but also to the environment by turning carbon dioxide into oxygen. The borrower is a very hardworking individual who cares deeply for her children and husband.
