A loan helped to purchase agricultural items, including fertilizer, spraying machines and water cans for resale.

Adama's story

Greetings from Sierra Leone! This is 44-year-old Adama from Waterloo Eastern area in Freetown. She is married with five children between the ages of 7 years and 16 years. Two of her children are attending school. She grew up in a business-oriented home, so she decided to take business as her own profession.

Adama runs a fertilizers business within a busy Market; she sells fertilizer, spraying machines and water cans. She has been running this business for ten years. She works at the business every day, twelve hours per day. Adama says that the main challenge to her business is that transporting her goods from the city to her business place is very difficult. During the dry season, sales are very slow.

Adama has requested a loan in order to purchase agricultural items, including fertilizer, spraying machines and water cans for resale. The extra income from this loan will allow her to buy a plot of land and renovate her house. In the future, she plans to open a big shop. She thanks you for your support!
