A loan helped to buy more green technologies for her tech kiosk.

Sumarti's story

Sumarti dreams of seeing her four children graduate from high school, although she herself only studied until the sixth grade. She works to realize this dream by selling cooked food and other small items from her stall.

Unfortunately health problems limited the time she could spend preparing food at night, reducing the variety of products she could sell. This affected her daily sales volume. She had the same amount of responsibility to support her family, but now with a lower income.

However, Sumarti is a tenacious woman, a positive person who is open to new opportunities. She wanted to expand her business, and saw a market for selling simple, green technologies such as water filters, solar lights and clean cookstoves.

Sumarti will use the loan to purchase the technologies and set up a technology kiosk, making clean water and alternative energy available in her community.

Sumarti is very enthusiastic about the project. With the help of her daughter, Sinta, who is majoring in accounting at a vocational high school, they will serve as many customers as possible. This is also a learning opportunity for Sinta who will handle the orders and bookkeeping.
