A loan helped a member to buy more sacks of charcoal.


Tujikomboe Kitopeni Group's story

Amina, who is in her late 30s, is a married woman with two kids who are in school. For one year and six months now, she has been running a business selling charcoal. She does well in this project. She works from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily and is able to make a good profit per month.

This will be her first loan request from Tujijenge Tanzania, which she will use to buy more sacks of charcoal. She dreams to own a big charcoal store.

She will share this loan with her loan group, Tujikomboe Kitopeni, which totals 10 members. The members of the group will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
