A loan helped to buy fertilizer and to pay for equipment to plow and plant her land.

María Del Carmen's story

María is a widow with three children, ages 22, 18, and 16. She has worked in agriculture for eight years, since her husband died, when she looked for a source of income to support her children.

She acquires her merchandise in a city located 12 kilometers away, making the trip in a personal vehicle and paying $40 for the transportation. For this reason she has to make the most of the trip.

The loan she's requesting from Fundación Campo is to buy eight sacks of fertilizer and pay for equipment to plow and plant 17,000 square meters of land.

She hopes her harvest will be very productive with the investment so her income improves and she can cover her family expenses. Her desire is to become a businesswoman and carry out other activities.
