Rebekah's story

"I'm fixing the world one massage at a time,” said Rebekah, certified massage therapist and owner of R and R Therapeutic Massage. “If everyone got even one massage a month, then I truly think that there would be no more anger in the world."

Rebekah worked in preschool education for almost 10 years in Concord, California until 2005 when her program faced dramatic cuts. Later that year, she enrolled in massage therapy school and became a certified massage therapist nine months later. "I was still educating people, just in a different way,” says Rebekah. "People tend to think of massage therapy as a high end luxury, but it truly is needed to feel healthy."

In 2007, Rebekah began working as a certified massage therapist at Massage Envy in Walnut Creek. A few years later, she was awarded Regional Therapist of the Year 2011 after being the most requested therapist for several years. By 2012, she was appointed Lead Massage Therapist in charge of hiring and training new therapists. She realized that if she wanted to advance her career, she needed to create her own company. In January of 2013, R and R Therapeutic Massage was created.
