A loan helped to buy new garden tools, seeds and fertilizers.

Nubar's story

Nubar is a 48-year-old IDP woman, who lives in the Bilasuvar IDP Settlement with her parents. She is a farmer and has grown seasonal fruits and vegetables for the last 8 years. She chose this business because it is profitable and fresh crops are in high demand. People use fresh vegetables everyday and consider them healthy. Many national dishes are made of vegetables, like pilau and dolma. Fresh fruits are served at every table in Azerbaijan families and are also used to make fresh punch.

Nubar sells her crop in the central bazaar. Her monthly income is 100 AZN. She is dependent on her father a lot, because he helps her to grow the crops.

As her products are in high demand, Nubar plans to expand the business and produce more fruits and vegetables to cover the market demand. For this purpose, she applied for 1800 AZN. She will buy new garden tools, seeds and fertilizers. This will be her second loan, and she has good client history.
