Kangombe's Group's story

Kang'ombe is a 38-year-old mother of seven children and a dry-land farmer. She grows maize, but also resorts to charcoal making to earn money for her family.

Kang'ombe is joining the KOMAZA microforestry program because she knows that her tree farm will earn her money so that she can educate her children. When asked where she sees herself in ten years' time, Kang'ombe determinedly states that her "children will have an education."
