Ma Presentación is a plucky and enterprising married woman who makes a living in agriculture. She has a big family with five children that live at home with her and her husband. She completed up to sixth grade of primary school thanks to the support of her parents who, with a lot of effort and sacrifices, were able to make sure their daughter could learn the basics. Alongside her husband, who she believes to be a great man, Ma and her husband have managed many projects one of which is now raising and selling hens and also selling eggs to generate a little bit more income for the household and to help with buying basic necessities. Their two oldest children are studying and working but with little resources they have not been able to graduate from high school. With their help and the support of Ma's husband, they work together to look after the coffee plants.
They currently have a project to improve their crops and they are applying for a loan to buy fertilisers, manure and crop-dusting pumps so that the harvest will be more profitable and better for selling.
Ma and her husband's dream is to have their children graduate so that they can become feisty and independent. They can then start their own micro-business to help them generate more income for their households and they will be able to cover costs in their families.
