Neneh's story

This is 47-year-old Neneh. She is married and has three children ages 26, 21 and 19. Two are school-going children. She has two additional dependents, who live with her to be fostered.

In 2004, Neneh established her business selling lace, waxed cotton material, chains, earrings, madam bags, travelling boxes and such products. She began her business as she did not attend school because of her parents’ perception about female education. She was only introduced to domestic work at home and business. When she got married her husband gave her some money to start business.

Working seven days a week and 11 hours a day, she earns about SLL 2,125,000 every month from this business. She would like a loan in the amount of SLL 5,000,000. Neneh requires a loan in order to buy more inventory of madam bags, travelling boxes, chains, lace and waxed cotton material.

In the future, Neneh plans to build another house, educate her children and open another shop. The loan will help to improve the business and generate more income. There is high competition where she is selling, but she overcomes competitors by having good customer care skills. She is a hardworking and trustworthy businesswoman. She thanks you for your support.
