Dulam's story

Mrs. Dulam is 48 years old. She lives with her husband and six children in a house in the Bayanhongor province of Mongolia. Her husband, Oyungerel, age 51, works in dry cleaning. Two daughters work at local grocery stores as saleswomen, and her son works at a construction site. Daughters Zolzaya, age 23, and Odtuya, age 21, are university students, and Alimaa, age 18, is a senior student at a local high school.

She has been running her organic dairy products business in a rental counter of a local market since 2004. She had started her business in 2002 as a grocery store. She has gained a lot of experience over the years and paid off her children's university tuition from her profit. She is now requesting 4,000,000 MNT (Mongolian tugriks) to purchase a large amount of organic milk to produce organic dairy products and attend the province's organic dairy products fair. She is a hardworking and diligent woman.
