Zahida's story

Ms. Zahida is a 45-year-old married woman. She has been successfully running a small general store in her community for the last two years. She offers various goods for daily use at reasonable prices. She has good communication skills and holds a good client list. Her husband is employed in a small factory and earns insufficient income to support his family alone. Zahida makes enough to contribute to the family income. She is a mother of seven children and is motivated to provide them with good food, health and education.

As she wants to grow her business, she requested a loan of 30,000 Rs (Pakistan rupees) to buy stock of rice, grains and flour from the market at lower rates. She then will be able to meet the increasing demand consistently. She wishes to utilize part of her revenues to deal with the educational expenses of her children and to increase her business capital.
