A loan helped to purchase livestock feed, and containers for storing and transporting milk.

Lawi's story

Lawi is 52 years old, married, and has five children. His spouse is a civil servant, and this contributes to the family's income. Lawi runs a dairy farming business, as well as hawking milk. He has been in business for the past four years, and his monthly income from the business is KES 20,000.

He has borrowed a second loan of KES 80,000 for a period of one year, after having successfully repaid his first loan. He intends to use the new loan to purchase animal feed and containers for storing and transporting milk.

Lawi plans to use the additional income to plough back capital into the business. He will also save some, in order to pay school fees for his children.
