A loan helped to buy piglets.

Accrington's story

Accrington is a resident of the Nkubu area in Central Kenya where he has been practicing mixed farming for ten years, producing mainly fruits like mangoes and bananas for the local market. He is aged forty six years and married with three children aged between 20 and 7 years.

Accrington has requested a loan of 40,000 KES from Juhudi Kilimo to help him buy piglets. He says the venture will help him generate enough income to educate his children. He notes he will also save part of the income for a venture into dairy farming.

He says the main challenge remains lack of capital for running farming as a business.
