Clelia is 55 years old and makes a living cultivating her land. She lives with her two daughters in her own house.
She learned the basic knowledge of farm work when she was a child. 22 years ago, she became independent and began to carry out these tasks for the well-being of her family. Her principal crops are potatoes, wheat, barley, and beans, which she brings to the local market after every harvest. During the sowing and harvest seasons, she brings in people who can help her with the work and pays each of them depending on the hours they have put in.
This work is exhausting, but it is the only means of support for her expenses, especially for the education of her daughters. For this reason, Clelia wishes to expand her land to continue sowing higher quantities of her agricultural products.
She has been working as part of a group with the "Productores Huancas" communal bank, and this is her sixth credit with MFP. Her perseverance is admirable, as she is one of the longest-standing members of the group. She continues to renew her efforts and her positive attitude.
Clelia will invest this money in the purchase of organic fertilizer to distribute during the next sowing season.
