A loan helped to pay for more stocks of mineral water to expand her product inventory.

Elsa's story

This is Elsa, 39, a resident of Manila, Philippines. She is married to Candelario and mother to her children. Together with her husband, she manages their household while operating a business. At this time, she is working hard to continually provide income for her everyday expenses.

Elsa is a mineral water distributor. She buys mineral water in containers from wholesalers and then sells the containers (5 gallons per container) at a profit. Her regular customers for her mineral water are her neighbors and the local community. She has a minimum of 500 PHP in sales every day.

To help her continue business operations, she is requesting a 20,000 PHP loan. She will be utilizing the loan to buy more stocks of mineral water to expand her product inventory. She expects a boost in her income as she expands her business.

Elsa dreams of being able to give her all her children a high-quality education and hopes to have her own vehicle through all her hard work with her business. She also hopes to have a growing network of customers. She faithfully meets up with her co-fellowship members to share stories of her work every week and draw strength and inspiration from the Word of God that they study.

* All CCT community partners / clients are organized into fellowship groups that meet on a weekly basis. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 30 community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social capital, and pay microfinance loans.
