A loan helped to buy raw materials such as bundles of wool and threads.

Koser's story

Koser is a 29-year-old married woman and lives in Kamalia along with her husband and six children. She took out a loan of Rs 10,000 from Kashf a year back and reported to have used it for purchasing a carpet-making machine. Koser wishes to send her children to school and save for her daughters' dowry. Talking to a loan officer, Koser said that when she got married, her in-laws insulted her for not bringing in enough dowry and she doesn’t want her daughters to be humiliated the same way. She said she wishes to expand her current work by bringing in more machines as well as material. Now she has requested a loan of Rs 20,000 to buy raw material such as bundles of wool and threads in order to increase her sales of carpets. She wishes to utilize part of the profits on the betterment of her family.
