A loan helped to buy a cow.

Jamila's story

Ms. Jamila is 52 years old, married and a mother of five. She has been in the business of milk-selling and cattle-rearing for the past 10 years. She has 2 buffaloes. She purchases small calves and sells them near the Eid-ul-Azha (a religious event in Muslim countries like Pakistan). She earns a good profit from this business. Her husband is a labor person and earns insufficient income to meet everyday expenditures of his family members. He encouraged Jamila to initiate her own business to contribute to the household income. He is very satisfied to see his wife progressing.

Due to increase in the client list, Jamila requested a loan of 40,000 PKR to buy one cow. She has taken several loans from Kashf Foundation and has good repayment history. She is hopeful that she’ll be able to repay the loan, while at the same time has faith that she’ll be able to give her family a better quality of life.
