Shairkul's story

Shairkul is 62 years old, a widow and lives with her son's family. Having gotten married early, she became involved in animal husbandry in 1970, having started this business with 5,000 som. Thanks to Shairkul's hard work, today her business contains two dairy cows with offspring and 2.90 hectares of land with potatoes and cereal crops. Thanks to the business earnings, she was able to provide education for her children - her youngest son became a teacher and works at a local school today. In order to further develop her business, Shairkul requested a loan in the amount of 30,000 som (KGS) from the "Bai-Tushum and Partners" company to buy a bull for fattening up. She plans to invest the earnings from the loan into further increasing domestic livestock quantities.
