A loan helped to buy more posho, flasks, bowls, and household goods.

Rebecca's story

Rebecca is 30 years old and is married with four children who are all currently in school. She lives in the town of Kayunga in the Mukono region of Uganda. For the past seven years, Rebecca has been working hard to manage her retail shop where she sells flasks, juice, biscuits, and other items.

Rebecca is requesting a 3,000,000 UGX loan from BRAC Uganda to more posho, flasks, bowls, and other household goods. Her loan will help Rebecca to generate greater profits and allow her to buy more goods to sell. She hopes that in the future she will be able to sell more quality products.

Rebecca is a member of BRAC's Small Enterprise Program (SEP). The program primarily serves small entrepreneurs like Rebecca who do not have enough collateral for commercial loans, but have businesses that have grown too large for microloans.
