A loan helped a member to buy seeds and manure.

La Rica Vicky - Chupaca Group's story

Hello! Fraternal Greetings to all of you.

Hilda is a very hardworking mother. She’s 54-years-old, widowed and has a dependent son. She belongs to the “La Rica Vicky-Chupaca” communal bank, a large group that has 11 members who are all neighbors from the same location.

Hilda works in her orchard and also raising small farm animals (chickens, guinea pigs, rabbits) in a space set aside for this at home.

She grows ornamental plants like daisies, lilies, anise, etc. that she sells in markets and at the Sunday street market in her locality. With income generated from this business she’s able to educate her only son and she dreams with his studying a profession in the future.

The loan she’s requesting is to buy seeds and manure for her orchard. She’s happy because of the support she gets from people in other countries and she and her fellow group members say: “Thank You!”

Hilda is wearing a red sweater and white shirt. She’s second from the left (standing).

In this group: Hilda Ayde, Ayde, Nadhia, Ivett Anai, Betty Angelica, Janee Encarnacion, Jose Manuel, Rosalia, Vilma Teresa, Iomar Antonio, Cili Lais
