Kimyan's Group's story

Kimyan is the breadwinner of a family of eight kids, five of whom are still his responsibility as they are still in school. He is 61 years old and lives in one of the remote areas of Dambae district, Cambodia. To earn a living for this big family, he grows rice on one hectare of land and plants cassava on two hectares of farmland. He has been with these businesses for 15 years.

This is the first loan for Kimyan as well as his group, which consists of three members. They are requesting a loan of 1,000,000 KHR each. As the group leader, he will use his loan portion to buy fertilizers for his cassava field and to buy rubber plants to generate additional income in the future. He hopes to earn more income in order to improve his living conditions.
