A loan helped buy farmland to grow crops.


Kunthea's story

Kunthea is 41 years old. She is married and resides with three children in Kampot Province, Cambodia. She has been involved in cultivating rice and fattening up pigs for more than ten years, earning approximately $7 per day. Her husband helps her run the business. Two of her children are employed in a garment factory. They earn about $8 per day.

In order to improve her family’s finances, Kunthea is requesting a loan of $1300 to purchase more farmland to use for cultivating agricultural crops. This money will help her expand her business and earn more money to support the family. In the future, she would like to build a new house and help her youngest child earn a bachelor’s degree.
