Merjorie is a hardworking spouse and mother to her two children. They live in the small village of Buneg. She always makes it a point to spend time with her family and make every moment worthwhile for them.
For over the past twenty years Merjorie and her husband have raised rice and corn. The couple’s main goal is to increase their income so as to be able to provide their children with a quality education and a better standard of living. She is really thankful because on her children’s days off they help out on the farm so as to minimize farming expenses.
Merjorie wants to improve her rice crop production. She is asking for a loan of 20,000 PHP from ASKI because of an abrupt increase in the price of fertilizer and insecticides. If she can keep her farm thriving, she will be able to increase her profits and so meet her family’s basic needs.
