Temur's story

Temur is 42 years old. He lives in a small village of Bolnisi District with his family: wife Lali and 19-year-old Kakhaber. The family earns their living through agricultural business. They have 4 milking cows and 2 calves. Lali milks cows twice a day and produces cheese. They also own 0.3 hectare of land, where they grow various vegetables: carrots, cabbage, beets and potatoes. They sell their cheese and harvested products on the local open market. Total average monthly income of the family is 400 Lari.

Temur requested a loan for purchasing calves. He wants to raise them and sell them locally after several months. Grown calves will be sold with a price mark-up. The family will get additional income. With increased income, he will be able to expand his agricultural business and the living conditions of the family will be improved.
