Balqees N. is married and a mother of two boys. Her eldest son attends a local school in grade two and she would like to see both her kids finish their schooling successfully. Balqees helps her brother-in-law to embroider and decorate clothes while her husband works as a sweeper at a local school. She is borrowing from Asasah, a microfinance institution, to invest in her brother-in-law’s embroidery business which gives her a reasonable monthly income.
