A loan helped to buy a water tank and irrigation pipes.

Rosemary's story

Rosemary is 38 years old. She has been in the farming business for fourteen years in her home of Nkubu in Central Kenya. Her farm currently produces coffee, bananas, maize and beans, which she sells within the local market. She runs a boutique for additional income. She is married with three children who are aged 16, 14, and 5 years.

Rosemary has requested a loan of 50,000 KES from Juhudi Kilimo to buy a water tank at 25,000 KES and irrigation pipes at 25,000 KES. She says an increased farming income will make life better for her family as well as help her educate her children.

She laments the high costs of farming supplies and labor as the major challenges in her farming business.
