Luka, who is in his late 30s is married with two children who go to school. He has had a barber shop since 2007. He works from 8.00 am to 10.00 pm daily and is able to make a fair monthly profit.
This will be his 9th loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. He used the previous loans to build a room for his salon, buy a Pikipiki (motorcycle) and pay household expenses. He has paid back all his loans successfully. He wants a loan to buy more salon equipment and pay school fees. His dream is to one day be able to build his own house.
He will share this loan with his loan group "Faith" which has a total of 19 members who will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
