A loan helped to purchase an irrigation system.

Elena's story

Elena originally worked at a collective farm, but due to a low salary, decided to open her own private business and get involved in retail sales of vegetables, such as eggplants, corn and melon crops - watermelons. Elena's family is her disabled husband and 24 year-old son, Vyacheslav, who helps with the farming work. She has problems with watering because it is very hard to water 40 sotkas of land at the same time. This is why the family decided to purchase equipment for irrigation, which will increase the harvest-ability and ease human labor. Elena's plans include expansion of her business, planting strawberries and potatoes and purchasing motorized equipment for plowing the soil. Elena's personal plans include providing medical care for her disabled husband. She needs your financial support to purchase irrigation equipment.
