A loan helped to buy seeds and fertilizers.

Maximiliana's story

Maximiliana is 54 years old, she is single and lives with her only child, Maycon, in their own home located in the Bellavista neighborhood in Tarma.

She knew how to raise her son, who now helps her with her farm work, an activity she began when she was a child. Because of her years of experience, she knows how the business runs and how to cultivate her products. It takes a lot of effort and dedication and has helped her improve her life. She begins working before sunrise by caring for the animals (she raises guinea pigs, chicken, bulls and sheep). Afterward, she cleans and also cares for her crops. The activity she most likes in her work is attending to the crops and it makes her feel good to see her peas, beans, corn, potatoes and vegetables growing and healthy. "I like to sell my products in the wholesale marketplace in Tarma," she says. Moreover, she hopes to improve her products so that she can increase her income.

She belongs to the community bank “Señor de Muruhuay" and this will be her fifth loan with MFP. She plans to pay her monthly installments on time. Her community bank is a very supportive and collaborative partner.

She will invest the money in the purchase of six bags of pea seeds and the rest will be used to purchase fertilizers.
