A loan helped to buy fruit and groceries.

Martha Julia's story

Martha is a 37 year old single mother of two children living in Ventanas, Quevedo Canton. Her house is her own and her children attend school.

Five years ago she started selling fruit and groceries. She can’t complain because she does very well and thanks to it is able to support her family. Martha tells us that it is a bit tiring though because her day starts at 6am buying fruit because since they are a product with a short shelf life, she has to buy them every day. For now, she does not have any particular difficulty in her surroundings since she’s well-known.

She will use the loan to buy fruit and groceries expanding her inventory with rice, sugar, etc. Her next goal she expects to reach is to increase business to provide a better way of life for her children.
