A loan helped to purchase rolls of cloth and boxes of thread.

María Laura's story

María, 27 years old, is described as a happy, hard-working, and entrepreneurial person who likes moving ahead for the well-being of her children. María lives with her mother and her two children in an area outside of the city of Ibarra in the province of Imbabura.

María embroiders tablecloths, table centerpieces, and blouses, a business which is very difficult at this time because there is a lot of competition, and María needs to support her children. This is why she is taking out her sixth loan with Fodemi, which will be invested in the purchase of rolls of cloth and boxes of thread in order to increase her production and come out with new items so that her products are of high quality and will be accepted in the market. In this way, she will be able to cover her family's expenses.

María dreams of rebuilding her house and buying a piece of land.
