A loan helped to buy poultry birds.

Justus's story

Justus is a farmer in Nkubu area of Central Kenya. He is aged 59 and married with three adult children. He runs a retail shop in the local market and operates as a broker of coffee. That means he sources coffee from small scale produces and sells to processing factories. His farm produces mainly coffee and bananas.

Justus has requested a third loan of 60,000 KES from Juhudi Kilimo in order to buy poultry birds.

(He is pictured with a bicycle in the backround which should not be confused for a transport business).

He wants to expand coffee and banana plantations and hopes to improve the family living standards and venture into dairy farming in the future.

He laments the shortage of rains and high costs of inputs like fertilizers. He compliments Kiva partner Juhudi Kilimo for improvement of service delivery.
