A loan helped buy and insure a dairy cow.

Mwajuma's story

Mwajuma is a farmer and also runs a salon at the local market in her home area in Kitale. She is 23 years old and still single. She has been in farming for only one year. Her maize products are sold in the local market.

Mwajuma has requested a loan of 57,200 KES from Juhudi Kilimo to help her buy and insure a dairy cow. This will help generate income and make savings for her future life. She remains very optimistic that she will be able to establish a farm of at least three dairy cows in five years.

Mwajuma has great concern over the lack of proper markets for farm produce during peak seasons within the local markets. Her major issue is poor market prices during such times.
