Evelyn, 34, is married and her husband’s an electrician; she has two children and one of them attends school. She lives in a neighborhood in Puerto Cortes.
She is a very hardworking woman who is motivated to do better and improve her family’s quality of life. Three years ago she decided to start her own food selling business where she sells traditional breakfasts, baleadas (flour tortilla with beans, eggs, cheese or butter), lunches and dinners.
She lives in a strategic spot where many people circulate in heavy cargo trucks toward the port and she has the opportunity to offer them food. She starts work very early and is still taking care of customers until nightfall.
This is the first loan she’s requested from ODEF and she will use it to remodel her business, constructing a wall and fixing the root in order to offer better service. She already has the goal of expanding the variety of dishes on offer to customers to increase sales and income.
