A loan helped to buy one milking cow and fodder.


Asif's story

Asif is 34 years old and married with four children. He is an IDP (internally displaced person) and lives with his family in the Bilasuvar IDP Settlement. He breeds cows and cattle and sells milk and milk products as well as cattle for meat purposes to local butchers. Asif has more than 10 years of experience in this field, thanks to his father who taught him the best way to look after cattle.

Asif usually buys small cattle, raises and fattens them in 5-6 months and resells them for a more profitable price in the local livestock bazaar. The milk and yoghurt, he sells to the neighbors. Milk and meat selling brings 200 AZN income per month. Milk and yoghurt, as well as meat, are very popular products in Azerbaijan. People use meat in everyday national dishes such as pilau and dolma and always use a yoghurt sauce. Milk products are considered very healthy and are present in everyday life.

This is the only financial income in his family and is not enough to cover the basic needs of his beloved children. Asif applied for a loan of 700 AZN to purchase one milking cow and fodder. This will be his third loan from AqroInvest and Asif has a good client history.
