Magda, age 48, is the single mother of three children, ages 13, 16, and 19. She lives in the Azacualpa municipality, Santa Barbará.
She previously sold peanuts. With the income she received she decided to establish a business of selling merchandise (women’s, men’s, and children’s shoes and underwear) in an itinerant manner.
Magda has loan experience. She has requested her sixth loan for 13,000 lempiras. She plans on buying footwear and general clothing. Magda says that with the income she has gotten from her business she has managed to buy utensils for her home and to provide an education for her three children.
In the future she plans to establish a stationary store in her house. She also plans to achieve financial sustainability.
