A loan helped to buy more watermelons, pineapples, passion fruit and oranges.

Regina's story

Regina lives in Kampala, Uganda. She is married and has two children, both of whom are in school. She also takes care of additional family members (her elderly parents).

Regina has a business selling fruits and vegetables. She has been in this business for 9 years, and she works 7 days out of every week. Regina sells her products at the market, wholesale and retail. Regina has requested a loan of 2,000,000 Ugandan Shillings from MCDT SACCO, which she will use to buy to buy more watermelons, oranges, passion fruit, and pineapples.

The main business challenges for Regina include the rainy season (because she works in an open place) and thieves. Her goals and aspirations for her business are to sell wholesale only and to build her own house. Regina lives in a home that she rents; she has access to electricity and piped water. Her major monthly expenses include feeding the family.
