Adding to basket
This communal bank is called "Banda." It is made up of three hard-working, humble women who hope to increase their incomes, to be able to grow their businesses and to improve their neighborhood by offering more merchandise. That way the people won't have to go to neighboring areas to purchase things they can't find in their town.
One of the members of this group is Elida, a teacher. She teaches in a kindergarten and has also made a living for the last three years selling stationary items and traditional clothing.
She is happily married to another teacher, Yoryino. He is a friendly and hard-working man who helps her attend to the customers so they can leave pleased with their purchases.
Elida has three children, two girls and a boy, who help to wrap gifts and cover notebooks. Her children are proud of her for the effort she puts forth each day to give them a better future.
Elida requested the loan to purchase more stationary items like: notebooks, log books, dictionaries, white-out, tissue paper, paper napkins, construction paper, wrapping paper, pencils, crayons etc.
The other members of the communal bank are:
Rufina- who makes her living selling groceries.
Catalina Alejandrina- who makes her living selling shoes.
