A loan helped a member to purchase submersible cable.

Asociación Intercomunitaria Agua Para Vivir Group's story

Agua Intercomunitaria Para Vivir (Intercommunity Water To Live) is a potable water and sanitation committee. This aqueduct supplies potable water to 4 communities, connecting to 280 users. The majority of the population is people who work in agriculture and salaried people who work in community businesses. They are asking for financing in order to purchase submersible cable for the well, since it is already having problems with overheating, requiring a reduction in water pumping hours. With the loan, they will purchase 3 air valves, 120 PVC pipes to replace the pipes in one part of the distribution network that is already very old, the submersible cable for the well, and the cost of the labor. With this investment, about 3,000 people will benefit, including women, children, and elderly people, who, after the investment is made, will receive water service for more time in their homes.
