Mrs. Matogoma is 27 years old, married, and the mother of three children. She lives with her husband in Lafiabougou, a district on the outskirts of Sikasso (the third administrative region of the Republic of Mali).
After having tried many types of work unsuccessfully, Mrs. Matogoma began making clothing eleven years ago. Her sewing workshop is located in the main market of Sikasso where she already owns four sewing machines: two for embroidering and two for simple sewing.
Mrs. Matogoma is much in demand for the quality of her services.
With the goal of better meeting the growing demand of her customers, she decided to join the microfinance institution Soro Yiriwaso, from whom she is now requesting a second individual loan which will allow her to buy spare parts for her four machines and fabric for sewing and selling. This will allow her to better meet the expectations of her ever-growing clientele. The previous loan was properly repaid.
She foresees earning a monthly profit of 150,000 FCFA which will mostly be used to increase her working capital, contribute to family expenses and pay the interest on her loan.
