A loan helped a member to buy clothes, shoes, umbrellas, and jackets.

Taona Group's story

Florence is a 41-year old-lady, married, with two children aged 16 and 12 years. Both children are still going to school from Masvingo. She takes care of her sister's children.

She is in the business of buying and selling clothes, shoes, and blankets. Florence has operated her business from home for the past two years.

She is requesting a loan of $400 to buy more clothes for resale, as well as other commodities that might be in demand at the moment, such as umbrellas and jackets.

Due to insufficient resources, Florence does not have any employees. Besides not having enough capital for her business, Florence also says she is facing some difficulties in non-payments by her debtors. This is due to the liquidity crisis in the country as well as high competition from other well-established business entities.

She is planning to own a shop in the Masvingo Central Business District. With the extra profits from the business, she will be able to provide good food and a better life for her family.
